Located on Eagle Lane in Brisbane City, Fat Angel is one of the few themed establishments showing late night sports programs and providing generous food offerings.
Wanting to take their dining experience to the next level, I helped them overhaul their existing menu as well as updating their smaller brand assets for their website.
The menu is designed with two focal points in mind—provide legibility in a dark environment, and create a system of information hierarchy. The existing menu featured very large type with headlines paired with both bold and underline accents, resulting in items being potentially missed while being ordered.
A distinct feature of the menu is the french fold that helps categorise each item from beers/wines and cocktails, to share platters, mains, and bar snacks. The french fold also helps keep a low profile while still maintaining a healthy A3 format.
